Individual membership

An individual can gain annual SCAF membership by attending one of our frequent workshops, seminars or conferences.  Membership entitles that person to attend all further SCAF events for free until the end of that Society year (which runs from September to August).

Anyone presenting at a SCAF event will automatically be awarded individual SCAF membership for that Society year. This will not affect any corporate membership that may be held by the company that this person works for (i.e. any company with Corporate membership will be entitled to send this person in addition to the number of corporate members they hold to any SCAF event that Society year).

A 10% discount is available for group booking of 4 or more delegates, and a 15% discount is available for group bookings of 10 or more delegates.
For details of future events please see the events page or contact the SCAF Secretary (email:

Corporate Membership

Corporate membership is more flexible than individual membership, because a company/organisation can send a set number of persons (typically 5 or 10) to each SCAF event rather than having to gain individual membership for each of those attending.

The conditions for corporate membership are as follows:

  • memberships are not uniquely allocated to individuals or posts and entitle a pre-agreed number of employees to attend SCAF events (workshops, conference, summer reception)
  • the SCAF Secretary and Treasurer are notified by the nominated company/organisation single point of contact (PoC) of attendees a minimum of 14 days in advance of events
  • the company/organisation PoC allocates a unique number (e.g. 1 – 10) for each event attendee
  • details of all attendees (i.e. name, email address, contact details) to SCAF events are to be provided to SCAF by the company/organisation PoC

Corporate SCAF membership is unaffected by anyone from the same company being awarded individual SCAF membership through presenting at a SCAF event (i.e. a company will be entitled to send any person with individual membership in addition to the number of corporate members they hold to any SCAF event that Society year).

Any company/organisation interested in taking up corporate membership should contact the SCAF Treasurer (email:
